What store does EVERYBODY you know shop at? I just read that 9 out of 10 Canadian adults shop at Canadian Tire at least twice a year (for some that’s twice a week!) Andrea and Jeff Marshall own our local Canadian Tire store, and they have cool way of thanking local people for our support. They support us back by giving serious money and other assistance to events and community stuff. Their two favourite projects are Jumpstart – helping out County kids who otherwise couldn’t afford to register for sports programs – and TASTE! a celebration of regional cuisine. “Those are the two we give the most dollars to,” says Andrea. “And this year we’re giving some tables and probably some tools, too, to help the TASTE! event go even more smoothly.”

It’s true, sponsor dollars make the non-profit world go round. But sometimes what you REALLY need on the big day is more tables. Or a particular tool. I know. I’ve been there! So here’s a big shout out to Andrea and Jeff and Picton’s Canadian Tire for being generous neighbours who do a whole lot to help good things happen in the County.
