On Sunday, March 4, 2012 past hockey greats with the Montreal Canadiens will take to the ice at the Wellington and District Community Centre to play a local team made up of County Greats. Coached by Guy LaFleur, the alumni team may include Patrice Brisebois, Stephane Richer, Sergio Momesso and many more.
The Habs are also looking for some locals to join their team for the day, in particular one forward, one defenceman and a trainer. To have one of these top line positions you can bid in our on-line auction. Log onto www.pecmontrealalumnigame.ca and place your bid to play or help out the bench staff. What a great opportunity to skate with Hockey’s Greatest Stars! Bidding will close on February 27, 2012 at 4pm. The winning bidders will be contacted afterwards with the details of the game.
“If being on the team isn’t for you, that’s ok,” said Recreation, Parks and Culture (RPC) Commissioner Barry Braun. “You can get involved as a sponsor for the event or just come out to see some great hockey. Mayor Mertens will drop the puck at 2:00 p.m.” The Game Sponsor comes at a cost of $2,000. Period sponsors, power play, penalty kill sponsors and bench sponsors are $300 each. Information on the sponsorship program and the benefits of each levelcan be found at www.pecounty.on.ca.

This event is limited to VIP tickets holders only. The doors to the arena will open at 1:00pm for general admission ticket holders. Warm up will be at 1:30pm with the game at 2:00pm.
