“The County’s favourite chocolate shop”.
Owner: Sue Burgess
”I bought the business in 2006 after moving from Calgary and opened the first retail store in Wellington in 2007. I outgrew that space very quickly, and moved in 2009 to our present location in a heritage building at 78 Main Street in Picton. All the chocolate is made and packaged here in the Picton store, so the fabulous chocolate smell hits you as soon as you open the door. Christmas is a crazy time, but we love the hustle and are tickled that Copper Kettle Chocolate is sent all over the country (and the world) to be included in far-away Christmas stockings .” Sue
Special Products for Christmas
Every year customers look forward to the Egg Nog bark and the Candy Cane bark. It’s only available in December, and once it’s gone, you won’t see it again for another year.
Product Selection:
Where to start? We’ve got over 30 kinds of bark (bark is just a term for
chocolate that’s thin and flat and sometimes bumpy, like tree bark), including a line of no-sugar-added barks suitable for diabetic diets. We’re now up to 29 different kinds of truffles, plus a uniquely Prince Edward County treat – shots are chocolate shells filled with local wine. We also make our own sponge toffee, and are the only Canadian outlet for all-organic Robin’s Chocolate Dessert Sauces.
If you’re holiday entertaining, we also do customized chocolate trays, gift baskets and party favours. Or if you have an idea, let us know and we’ll be happy to help create something unique.
