My name is Ted Maczka.

Occupation Amateur farmer.

I’ve lived in the County for over 30 years.

The first time I visited the County was in 1971.

I moved to the County because I set my goals to learn how to grow garlic and to grow the best garlic in the world and to make Canada self-sufficient in growing garlic. And I did. People said it was impossible. I said it was possible. We make our own miracles.

Hobby Garlic is my life. It is my volunteer contribution to humanity because garlic is a natural medicine.

Favourite County hangout My favourite place is always the farm.

Indulgence Garlic. I eat it raw.

Definition of happiness To create your own path.

My motto is You don’t have to be crazy to do what I’m doing but it helps.

I love Prince Edward County because To farm was the purpose of my life… I came to the County to buy a farm and I did right on the spot. Here I contribute something
